Whether it be within a local community
or globally, the multiple women's organisations reflect the seriousness
of the message for women's equal rights. My search for women's organisations
is not comprehensive nor exclusive. The few sites chosen do not relate
directly to the changing role of women today but it more than illustrates
it.
The very fact that women's voice
is present in these organisations is proof enough of some progress. Women's
role has changed. Women's organisations are organised, informed and uncompromising
in some cases.
There are many sites devoted to
the cause of women. Locally Warwickshire sites on women associations is
disappointing. There is very little material available on women apart from
a few listings. It is so slow to download that one is tempted to give up
half way through.
The website 'The
Women's National Commission' in United Kingdom stands uniquely to give
advice on women to the government. It gives exposure to women's points
of view. It has good links to UK other organisations, and lists many associations
by alphabetical order. Like the Platform
for Young Women Gingerbread . Cynthia Blystone & Lisa Castagnozzi
in the Women Leaders Online 'Women
organising For Change News Sources' have compiled an extensive lists of
women organisations.
